DESCRIPTION

 

Day 1                 D.F. –  Malinalco

Leaving from Distrito Federal to Magical town of Malinalco,  to visit the important archeological zone of  Cuauhtinchán, here the valient eagle and jaguar warriors trained. The most important temple is Cuauhcalli, unique monolitic estructure, after we will visit university museumLuis Mario Schneider and the convent of transfiguration and parroquia del Divino Salvador founded in 1540 by frailes agustinos. Free evening.  Accomodation.

 

 

Day 2                 Malinalco - Grutas de la Estrella - Ixtapan de la Sal

Breakfast. We will go to Grutas de la Estrella, to look the unreal natural formations of estalactites and estalagmites, in a guided tour. We continue to Tonatico where we will walk the central garden and The Nuestra Señora de la Asunción main Church.  Then, we will go to Ixtapan de la Sal, its sunny weater and famous thermal wathers considered curatives has become in a tourist place very important in México.

Here we found the largest aquatic park in Latin America and like many high class hotels counts with excelent healty, beauty and wellness services, the best place for people looking for wellness and rest

Day 3                Ixtapan de la Sal - Teotenango - Metepec

Breakfast. After, we go to Tenango del Valle.  Famous for its gastronomy, destacated barbecue and a drink knowing like "pinneapple" made with vodka and pinneapple juice. Here we will visit the archeological zone of Teotenango wich was an important prehispanic city located south of Toluca valley. Was founded by Teotenancas during last ages of Teotihuacan civilization. Later,the Matlatzincas civilization conquered the city and expaded, this city existed of over a thousand years and was abandoned after the conquest of Aztec empire. We continue to Metepec, magical town of the Estado de México. Our tour include the visit of an architectonical ensemble shaped by the church and the Franciscano of San Juan Bautista ex convent in Metepec, the capilla del Calvario,  and a walk by Mageyes hill to the hermitage (where around have been found prehispanic burial) and of course we will visit the craft made. Accommodation.

 

Day 4               Metepec - Toluca - Valle de Bravo

Breakfast.  We go to Toluca City where we will have a tour by the most interesting points in the city, we found the Botanic Garden "Cosmovitral" one of the largest sets of stained glasses in the world, made by Master Leopoldo Flores; then we visit San José Church; the doorways have given personality to this city, also we will visit Templo del Carmen. Continue to one of the most iconic poblations at Estado de Mexcico where we will visit Carmelita Maranathá temple building above half a century ago; gardens and yards are elements of romantic architectonical inspiration that invite you to meditation. After we will go to the downtown to visit  San Francisco de Asís Church and craft market with Mazahua products like textile embroidery, wood, pottery, clay, even jewels. Accommodation.

 

Day 5               Valle de Bravo - El Oro - Aculco

Breakfast. We leave Valle, to go to El Oro. This town its importance to the mining boom that the late XIX century, becoming a much more cosmopolitan city than Mexico. We will visit Tiro Norte, palacio municipal and the Juárez Theather. Continue to Aculco, our frist stop will be at Concepcon falls, continuing our tour at downtown where we will see the Plaza de la Constitución of Aculco, the kiosk, the Benito Juárez small square, Miguel Hidalgo and la  Parroquía and San Jeronimo Ex convent. Also, we will visit Aculco's aqueducts where in one of them we can see two square arches cause was used as a passage. Then visit  "los lavaderos", it is a different and unique place for visitors with the running spring water and located an Aculco downtow. Accommodation

 

Day 6               Aculco - Tepotzotlán - Teotihuacán

Breakfast. Today our tour take us to visit tho of the most important sites of Mexico, declarated as a Cultural Heritage of Humanity by UNESCO at Estado de México. Our first stop is at Viceroyalty  Museum, has a colonial art collection, also we will visit San Francisco Javier church, a really architectonical jewell. We continue to Teotihuacán,  the most visited archaeological zona in the world. Here we will see la  Calzada de los Muertos, Quetzalcoatl Temple, Sun and Moon Pyramids.  Accommodation.

 

Day 7                 Teotihuacán -  Cd. de México

Breakfast.   At indicated time, transfer to airport.
