Day 1 D.F. – Malinalco – Ixtapan de la Sal
Leaving from Distrito Federal to Malinalco magical town, to visit the important archaeological zone of Cuauhtinchán, where valient eagle and jaguar warriors trained. the most important temple is Cuauhcalli, unique monolithic structure. Then, we will visit Ex Convent de la Transfiguración and main church of Divino Salvador founded in 1540 by agustins friars..
Leave Malinalco to go to Ixtapan de la Sal. After a little walk by the Plaza Principal, splendid wheater and thermal waters, we will have free evening for optional activities. Accommodation.
Day 2 Ixtapan de la Sal - Teotenango – Metepec - Toluca
Breakfast. Go to Teotenango, an important prehispanic city in Toluca Valley that exists for more of thousand years and was abbandoned afther Aztec conquest. Continuae our tour to Metepec. Here we can visit the Calvario church that offer us a beatury panoramic view of Toluca Valley, also we can visit church and ex convent of San Juan Bautista, wich is XVI century; we arrive to Plaza Juárez where we can appreciate Tlanchana sculpture that is a mythial aquatic deity. Then, we will visit clay museum, unique in the country, we find figures and artworks handmade by aunthentic masters who have represented to mexico in international expositions. We leave Metepec, to go Toluca, capital of Estado de México. there we will visit the most interesting points of the city like Botanic garden "Cosmovitral", one of the largest set of stained glasses, made by Maestro Leopoldo Flores ; the main church of San José; los portales downtow; Temple of Carmen; Temple of la Merced, that keep paintings of famous artist of colonial age like Cristóbal de Villalpando. Day 3 Toluca - Valle de Bravo - Distrito Federal
Breakfast. We will meet one of the most iconic towns of Estado de México, Valle de Bravo where we will visit Carmelita Maranathá prayer house, building since half century ago; chapels, yards and gardens conbine architectonical elements of romantic inspitacion that invite you to meditation. After we will go to downtow to walk around its streets and visit San Francisco de Asís main church, craft market where we will find mazahua, otomí or matlazinca products, textil, wood, pottery and even jewels. Departure to Mexico City, End of our services.
